please dont buy a toshiba. every toshiba i've come in contact with have had serious issues.

both my roommates Tosh's have fried out twice and had to be sent back to Tosh...stay away.

and the second one...I would rather shove red hot pokers in my eyes than every buy an ACER

i havent had good experience with acer either....but i've HEARD they've gotten better. maybe others have had more personal experiences with the newer ones

ok so if you had to choose a laptop fromt that store at arround 1K which one would it be? needs to be from that store, and a 15.4 screen... not to heavy too.

can you find a sony vaio for under 1k? From what I've heard they're very solid.
