We should bring that shit back! But seriously my main concern is that BF2 runs like dog shit on my Dell. I have to wait at least five minutes for the maps to load up. Having an IDE HD with the four year old computer makes me pull my hair out.

With a budget of $1500, what would you personally suggest?

i would just get a fast cpu + ram and a fast hdd and put it all in a decent case. don't bother with overclocking and shit load of fans and shit. oh and just reuse the video card.

Personally i would go with a AM2 chipset, so when the new "doritos" come out you have the MB already and would only have to upgrade the "dorito" :chuckles:

How about this ...

AM2 Athlon XP 4200+ Windsor - 185
Asus M2N-E Ultra - 95
2gb DDR 2 800 OCZ 2gb dual channel - 200
2 x Seagate Baracuda 7200 Sata 3.0gb/s 320GB - 200
Evga - Geforce7959GX - 550
Nec 3550a - 30
Cooler Master Centurion - 50
Antec TP2 - 100

all of that comes to 1360, figure in about 40 for shipping thats 1400

Now you really got me thinking, I just put this list together if I were to go low budget:

ASUS A8V 939 Pro ATX - $69
AMD 3800+ - $149
Corsair XMS Pro 2GB - $253
Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 160GB - $58.99
Case - $40
ATi X800 -
Ultra 400w PSU -

$569.99
