old modems

i have 2 modems from accounts tht i had closed.. one dsl modem, one cable modem.. what the hell am i supposed to do with them since i dun have the account anymore?

They should be able to be reused. Some ISPs might have restrictions, however. Plus, they usually give them to you for free, so it is not a big deal to anyone.

i dont know for the DSL, but i do know for the cable.

if you're gonna sell it, call your prior ISP and make sure the modem is removed from your old acct, even if it's not an active acct.

if you dont, whoever tries to use it next will have issues registering it to their acct because they will be told the modem is already in use. this usually wont apply though if it's a different cable internet provider than you had.

What is the make and model on the cable modem?

Motorola SB5100? I'd buy it for $10.
