I remember the front tire exploding on an Accord that was in the lane next to me.

I had something similar happen to me about three years ago. My car didn't stop very well with three wheels though so I ended up running a light and almost got t-boned by a car. My rim and tire that took a dump almost hit a pedestrian as well. What a nightmare?

It's just like you said though "it could have been worse".

 

did you use a torque wrench and after 50kms did you retorque it? if not... it was your fault

 

at least you didnt crash into someone else. that would seriously suck.

Same thing happend to me last year. Luckily I was at a stopsign. The LCA poped out of the knuckly and ripped the kunckly off tire and all. Fixed it all myself. Then I totaled that car 4 months later.

 

i went down a steep driveway today. my car got stuck and i scraped like crazy. cant put my car in P now.
