I'm going on a trip to Seattle tomorrow and will be driving with my mom. I want to get some audio books that we can both listen to. We like mysteries and comical books. Any authors or books that I should get?

 

Atlas Shrugged - Ayn Rand

...wait, something that will not put you to sleep?

If you can find some David Sedaris, he is fantastic. Really funny stuff. His books are fairly short, so you can just try him out. I highly recommend.

If you want more like novels, Catch-22 or World According To Garp are good. They are both very funny, but it is a more intelligent type of humor. It is more subtle.

Kurt Vonnegut is also superb. Sirens of the Titan and Cat's Cradle are phenomenal.

Ha David Sedaris is the shiz! I listened to his Naked book last week, and am putting all the other books of his onto my moms ipod

 

Me Talk Pretty One Day is my favorate. He is seriously amazing. He spoke around here not to long ago, and I was thinking about going.
