Anyone into airsoft?
One of my coworkers has been completely addicted to it for the last few months and keeps telling me about it. I think I might try it sometime. Any comments or suggestions?
My coworker showed me a place where they actually rent equipment. Otherwise, I might borrow or buy something crappy and cheap. The thing that sucks IMHO is that the price of the quality stuff approaches the cost of real guns. Not that you can go bang-bang with your friends with real guns...
Let's set up a Bay Area airsoft n00b meet.

I've been airsofting for 6 years. Check out cqbchallenge.com for a really organized game. The actual CQB challenge is taught by Oakland SWAT, OPD, SF Sheriff, and a bunch of ex-military, including Army Rangers.
I am into real guns...but seeing as to how you can't go out with your friends and shoot them legally I have been considering some airsoft guns recently.

The Roundhouse games in Monterey can be fun. The public games usually have 200+ people out and with a field that is a combination of indoor and outdoor. Like others have said, it's a fun way to shoot people without killing someone. The only thing is that it can be expensive to start; gear is not cheap.
http://www.cqbchallenge.com/html/cqb_challenge.html. For a civilian, this is as close to the real thing as it gets. I know a lot of the trainers, and the course is a boiled down version of actual CQB/MOUNT training.
