Default Decisions, decisions....

Heading back to California in about two months and Im trying to decide if I should get a little hatch or a new bike. A co-worker of mine is trying to find me a nice little project hatch. He's found one with some goodies in it, but the drawback is its got a D series in it. Thats Ok, because I still have a bunch of D series turbo parts. I could buy it and boost it. Or I could go back and get a new bike. I was looking at the 06 Triumph Daytona. I've read good reviews about it.
The hatch is gonna be around 5K, but Im probaly gonna spend another 2K on turbo parts and another 3K on rims and suspension. And maybe some new seats. The bikes gonna be around 9K, and another 1K on a helmet/jacket/gloves. BUT I may not be staying in the States for too long. I may leave in Jan 07.
So should I buy the hatch, mod it, and sell it? Or buy the bike, ride it and sell it? Or just buy a moped and ride that? Input please.

the hatchback is gonna be a lot more practical than the bike. depends if it's just gonna be for fun or daily driven.

Yea been a while. I always check out the basement from time to time.
Im leaning more toward the hatch too. Im sure it'll rain and it'd suck to be riding in it.
