ok, but did you try it? when troubleshooting, the first step is usually to break it down to the simplest parts, and see if it'll work.

does your laptop locate the router?

have you done a hard reset on it?

is the ip specified in your laptop's settings?

which reset on the router? Unplug the power reset or pushing the little button on the back reset?

I did the button on the back reset first and nothing happened, so then I unplugged it.

Stupid question...Are you sure you're not on the wireless accesspoint right now

For about a week I thought I was piggybacking off my neighbors connection, I was actually on my own, it reset itself after a thunderstorm and the power went out, it reverted back to the factory name lol
