i want to split a 6 hr mp3 into 1 hr files
suggest program?

I always used to convert the mp3 to a wav, split it (using maybe Goldwave freeware) and then re-convert them. But I always make things harder than they have to be.

Adobe Audition.

It loads the mp3 and let's you see the waveform. you highlight what sections, and chop out what you don't need.
