ok whats the worse that can happend buy a new Power supply cord? can't really damage any of the internal component can it?

If lightning were to hit... a power cord is going to help channel it into the laptop, not be like "hey lighting, you don't want to be around here, get the hell out of here motherfucker"

Worst? Your laptop would look like charcol.

haha, ya man...just dont use it in a lightning storm if you're not going to use surge protector. i hardly use my laptop at home...and if i do, i usually run on battery
