Default Can I wash my car yet?

So I've had my car for...damn I can't remember, close to 2 weeks? I really, really want to wash it, especially the wheels but I don't want to damage the new paint finish.

Is it safe if I use a mild car soap?

i think a mild soap wash would be fine, just make sure that you do not wax. if you seal the paint before it finishes "breathing" you can get some nasty bubbles. i would wash it by hand.

Body shop always told me to wash by hand w/mild soap for the first month and not to wax until after 3 months.

You can wash it with mild soap the day after you paint it. Just DON'T take it through a car wash like some morons do.
