Boycotting Honda Day.
I hate to do this but after seeing what happened at last year's event, I'm hoping no one else goes to this event.

To make a long story short:
Some National type drivers showed up last year and ran the Super Challenge. As they finished their 1st autocross runs the event organizer came over and DQ'ed everyone on DOT R tires saying they are slicks and ILLEGAL for the autocross competition. Even though the rules state DOT R tires are legal.
So some of them went and got Falken Azenis to put on their cars and did their runs and again were DQ'ed because Falken Azenis are not DOT legal tires.... WHAT?!
What the event organizer wants to see is a drag racer win for once. So now this year to run the Super Challenge you have to run BFG drag radials (which by the way are DOT R tires), but you cannot run Hoosiers, Kumhos (V710s, V700s, VictorRacers) or Toyo RA1s. You can only run BFG tires to win the event.
Total hogwash. So if you know someone going tell them not to support it.

I read through most of that thread on HT.... I think it's pretty simple.
They already know what their advertising will be after the event.
"And he won it while racing on BFG tires"
Thats it, that's all. It's just as simple as that.
The problem comes in when it no longer is a BFG "sponsored" event, but a BFG "run" event.
