Well...a Koenigsegg is constructed of lots of carbon fiber so why not rims?

The only problem I can see is hitting a pothole at high speed.

I just think it is a little dumb to say its weaker than metal so it can't be a good wheel. probably half of you guys have wheels made out of aluminum, which is much weaker than steel. but it makes a better wheel because its strength to weight ratio is better. You just have to use more of it. Carbon fiber will probably just take a while the right combo of strength and flexability.

It's not a strength issue. It's that carbon fiber is too rigid to really use as a wheel. It will and does crack when you hit a pot hole.
