funny thing is this thread made me think about how long it had been since I had seen an SVX, i figured it had probably been a couple years at least, then i saw one just now when i went to chick-fil-a.. He was driving it like it was a Modena if that makes the story any more amusing

I believe in '96 they dropped the fwd option and all Subaru cars since have been awd. Not positive on the year, but somewhere around there.
