Default Marital Artists ....welcome...need advice.

Ok, So i'm thinking about taking up martial arts classes. I just dont know what kinds are out there and what are the potentials of each one.

Here's why i ask. I stopped taking my Zoloft and i'm noticing im becoming more and more aggressive by the day. When i use to not take it, my aggression was controlled a little by me going to the gym. That agression made me focused on what i had to do. Now that i'm off the meds...my aggression is getting a little bit too much to handle. I always heard martial arts is a great way to free your mind per se...as well as get a good excercise in....So yea....that's why i'm thinking about taking up one.

Aikido.

If you're feeling aggressive, maybe take a discipline that will teach you how to channel that energy in a positive way. Aggression can seek aggression, and you're smart enough to know that it's not gonna get you anywhere.

Paging Mike Louie. Paging Mike Louie.

Any good martial arts class should give you a good workout. I think that choosing the right instructor/school is, in some respects, more important than the exact type of martial are you're doing.

I do TKD/hapkido, with some work in BJJ and grappling, since my instructor is cool and teaches us stuff like that. I enjoy it because we do so many different things and because the instructor knows what he's doing and isn't on some major power trip.

Edit: I just noticed the title. I know nothing about this marital business h:

Anything marital involving you is still illegal in this country.

TKD is fun, but it's a one-dimensional style.
