Any doctors in the house? h:

I had old shoes on while working outside. Walking down the deck steps, the sprinklers made the stairs wet. I caught the edge of the stair and took a digger down the steps.

My wrist is fine, but all the webbing in my hand hurts like a bastard. My knuckles are all swollen up, very difficult to move and it looks like it's bruising. I'm icing it like a bastard but the swelling isn't going down.

I don't wanna go to the doctor if I don't have to, I have a lapse in health insurance right now :doh:

Can you move all your fingers?

The webbing thing might have been due to a hyper-extension of the thumb.

 

My middle finger isn't going anywhere. Every other finger I have motion in but not much.

Typing with one hand is tedious o;

 

how did you land on your hand?

 

I don't remember honestly. I just remember getting up and recoiling in pain.

 

check for seperation / dislocation near the knuckle and finger.

hopefully it's due to the swelling only.

 

If you fractured a finger, don't worry, there's really nothing you can do about it.

that is scary, i feel for u..lack of insurance will make getting help pricey.. cant really say anything without pictures and xrays. u could have dislocated something. generally with fingers if its a simple break they can be taped to the one next to it to heal. if u have any breaks beneath the fingers u need a cast and possibly surgery. u have been putting ice on it. keep it elevated to help bring down the swelling. if they r dislocated they can be put back into place. u can try an immediate care center. they do minor things xrays, casts..no surgery though.

 

We need pictures, if the swelling is as bad as you say it is it most likely is broken somwhere is there. How long did it take to show signs of brusing??
