Am I being a jackass?
So I've been trying to sell my old sub for a week or so now and I've gotten a number of offers from people. The highest offer from a guy that lives in El Monte, California about 20 miles from where I live. Anyways it started around a week ago, I was supposed to meet him up after my friends funeral (Thursday) and I was to call him to set up a time since I have no idea how long Funeral's run.
So I call him around 2 in the afternoon and he says he's in the middle of a transaction and he'd call me back. No dice I wait around for 3-4 hours after calling him back several times and still no answer. I say fuck it PM him on H-T and tell him if he wants it he calls me back/pm's by tomorrow.
Next day rolls around he asks to reschedule to Saturday, I'm fine with that. Saturday comes around I get the same run around as on Thursday. I pm 1 last time Saturday night and say if we don't meet Sunday it's over.
Sunday rolls around and I call him mid-day he says he's at work till 6 - Fine with that mind you so I call him at 6:30. He pick's up then and say's he'll meet me in the middle at the Cerritos mall off the 605 and that he's leaving in 5 min from work. I get there at 7:30 with my buddy and we call him back. He picks up and tells me he hasn't left yet so I explain exactly where we are in the lot.
1.5 Hours later and 10 phone calls later, we're still here and now he PM's me back saying his buddy got in a roll over accident and his car rolled over 3 times. Am I being a jackass for saying "it would have taken 10 seconds and it would have saved me and my buddy 1.5 hours in a parking lot to pick up the phone."?
Cliffs: I get the run around for 4 days or so and then wait in a parking lot for around 2 hours for a buyer. Buyer never shows, blames it on buddy rolling over his car. Am I an insensitive jackass because he never picked up 1 of 10 phone calls within that 2 hour span?
