Overall, tasted about 25 or 26 different wines. Bought at least one bottle from each place, total 7 bottles and a LemonFig chutney from Standing Stone.
Would have gone to more but was starting to feel a bit too light headed. And the police were crawling everywhere since it was a Wine Festival weekend up there at Watkins Glen, NY. So I didn't want to push my luck.
But we had a great time, she's never been wine tasting before and she loved it. We prefer the semi-sweet wines, whites. I like the occasional red also, we aren't too much on the dry wines. Some of the sweet desert wines were good, but too sweet also. Like the Vidal (Blanc) Ice, very sweet and good, but would probably be better over vanilla ice cream than in a glass.
I had a few Deleware and Rieslings that I really liked. There have to be at least 30 winery places just along lake Seneca, and another dozen or two scattered about the other lakes.
I will definatly be going again.

h:I'm just referring to what I saw on Family Guy :reechy:
Most places only charge $1 or 2 for tasting the wines. Can try anything between 4-8 wines for that buck.
But yea, I'm going to drink it since I paid for it. We then had dinner at a nice Italian place right in town there, I had a basic spaghetti and meatballs, had a very nice Hazlitt Red Cat wine that was really really good with the spaghetti. The wine really helped bring out a side to the spaghetti that I never had before. I've had wines with dinner on occasion before, but this one was brilliant. The flavors just expanded with it. I would have bought a bottle of that if I didn't already have a sack-o-wine in the car.

Here's some pics of the wines we did get, so many more I would have loved to picked up.
This one is from Standing Stone

Blackberry Merlot from Pleasant Valley

Also from Pleasant Valley

Tuxedeo White, very nice. Tuxedo Red was quite nice too, but had to just pick one.

Got 2 bottles of this Delaware, I don't really know much about wine, but I like this one. I think I like the Rieslings better, but I'm kicking myself now for not getting any.
