the planet/stars thread got me thinking ver. dirty
when do you guys think we will encounter (or let their presence be globally known) aliens? our current technology cannot let us explore the known universe but the universe is a gajilion years old and there has to be so many other intelligent beings out there with a far more advance technology that can contact us. the universe is so expansive that the odds of it having another intelligent (or far more intelligent/evolved) species is very high.
