Default LCD screen tinted film?

just curious if there's anything like this. i want to lay tinted film over my headunit's LCD display, since the backlight is too bright, and sometimes it's distracting during evening driving.

does anyone know of any kind of tinted film that would work well for this? i plan on opening up the face and laying the film directly on the lcd display.

Is there a dimmer setting on it? Or a dimmer wire? I thought most had those...

Mine doesn't. Becareful, some glues used on tinting can turn some plastics opaque.

i know i've seen tinted window cling at walmart.

it's not the DIY window tint kits ... they're just dark pieces of sheer plastic.
