It was a strictly two player game, I want to say it was on super nintendo or sega. I can't remember, but it was 2D and you could only more forward or backward. You could chose between around 5-6 different machines and you would battle in different areans. I remember ones of the machines was this ball thing with guns that came out when you stopped moving. The name "Mech Warrior" keeps coming to mind, but from what I've researched that may not be correct. Any ideas would be great, Im tired of the games coming out now-a-days.

No... You could get out of your robots in this game and fly around on jetpacks, then steal another robot and use that.

 

Fuck Yeah!! I remember that! We got what the game is, just not the name. When you got out, you were wicked tiny and you could be killed by the opponent!! You started off as a person didnt you and had to find a robot??
