umm yes, I dont think it would be possible to fit the motor in there sideways... lol.

As far as I have seen, they cut out everything to amke it fit, all mocked up, car is on a lift and motor/rear end is siting under it.

Does anyone know if this has been done?

A shop I was working at (for a short while) had a 350 in a hatch converted to rwd. They had asked if I would pilot the thing down the 1/4 mile and I said sure. So I got in for a quick test drive and noticed no cage, they assured me it would be in by the following week and all tie ins would be solid...meh ok so I start her up. Hmmm...not a stock motor by any means :rick:

So I slowly let her crawl out of the work bay and hit the street, dropped her in first and tap the gas to burp her a little.

Got back out and told them we need to push it back in and anyone who drove that thing was a fool unless they fabricated a full frame under it. They refused so I told the owner to go eat a dick for trying to kill me.

He had a friend take it for a spinn and the car seperated at midpoint in the chassis with the cage in it at 30mph on the street. Luckily no one was injured but it could have been ugly real fast.

There was a hatch on ebay like 3 weeks ago with a 350 in it. It was teal with a blower sticking out of the hood. It was sold as is because the frame was twisted a little. Spent all the time figuring how to get it in there and didn't compensate for the torque.

I love having all the talk of these "new hot shops in town" with huge crazy projects but no images or tech specs to back it up.

If they were serious I doubt they would talk about it until it were done. these are the kinds of projects you keep under your hat until it proves itself.
