They are cichlids.

a yellow lab

and a mutt. I am not sure what the blue one is. He was a tiny little fella when I bought him. I've nursed him to the size he is now.

The tank was $119 and the stand was $99 at Petsmart.

I think. I bought the tank 2 years ago and the stand a few weeks ago. I was using a table I crafted out of an old sewing machine base for awhile. I didn't trust this on the laminate flooring we just put in so that's why I bought the stand.

It's a very good deal and a very well made tank.

The filter is a Rena Filstar XP2. It works well. Really well. I don't even have any filter floss in there. If you can believe it, I haven't filtered the gravel in a month and a half.

The only problem with the tank is the top lip is so wide that it's difficult to find a hang on back filter, so you're forced to go internal (yuck) or pay more for a canister. Not really a big deal for freshwater since canisters are much better. Better filtering and easier to maintain.

My new one holds 35. h:
Mine looks to me like its bigger than yours.

It's an 30 Gallon Oceanic. there is one similar to mine which is taller than it is wide or deep.
