Default Roofed it...

So for this summer, and last summer as well, I work at a moving company, Two Men and Truck. It is I believe the number 2 short-haul (usually in state, however we do venture outside every once in a while) in the nation. It is really big in the midwest and east coast, and is just starting to explain to the west coast.

So today, after we moved two different families, me and the driver were on our way home, and we were in a rental truck because we had so many crews/moves today, and we come to a bridge. We just kinda cruise along, thinking nothing of it, not knowing how tall the truck is (26-foot long, 13.5 feet tall), and bam. We roof it. Roof of the trailer completely breaks and is now basically sitting in the trailer. Pretty funny shit, and thank god for insurance. Luckily it wasn't our truck.

Bwahaha. I've always wanted to be driving by a truck and watch that happen.

That's why IMO you should have to get a class C CDL before you drive anything taller than 12'.

Height of the trailer is on the front corner posts backwards so you can read it in the mirrors to remind the driver how tall the rig is. 13.5 is a pretty low underpass though.
