Ok so I have found 2 EK's. Now I really cant make my mind up. So I need your help.

EK #1 - 1998 Clean Title red EK hatch - price $5000 firm
-Looks like crap on the outside
-has black fiberglass hood thats kinda messed up, and it doesn't really allight
-The guy messed around with the suspension, like he has tokiko shocks with some other springs i dont remember
-99 si front end
-He painted white under the hood... Don't know why
-Has some dents
-has GSR fat fives
-Full 96 GSR swap
-Everything rewired
-Uses gsr ecu
-Has many jdm parts
-Overall its REALLY fast but looks like crap on the outside

EK #2 - 1996 Gunmetal EK hatch got him down to $3800
-Clean Title, 125,000 miles
-Skunk 2 coilovers
-Sub zero rims (bronze)
-CTR Lip Front and back
-Cheap ebay headlights that don't line up
-99 si front end
-Kinda cheaply painted gunmetal (stage 1 paint)
-Stock d series motor
-Windshield has small crack
-Some exhaust (he says its ITR... would that fit??)
-Overall it looks really nice but its not that fast and its waaay cheaper

SO which one should I get?? Any help will be apreciated, Thanx.

neither....the first one won't pass smog (motor is older than chassis) and the second one seems like a bucket

Won't pass smog?? I thought that as long as its obd 2 motor in obd 2 chassis its all good... Well, thanx for letting me know that... The second one drives nice and looks great. Also don't u think that for an EK 3800 is cheap?? Im gonna try to get it cheaper tho... Should I buy if i can get it for loke 3200?

 

yeah in CA the motor has to be the same year or newer as the rest of the chassis.

$3800 is very cheap for an EK. i guess it depends on if you just want transportation or if you want a really clean EK. my buddy has been looking for a decent EK for a while...they're either beat to hell or people are asking way too much. and most of them don't have AC, which is a deal breaker for me.

 

Uh, if you keep looking, I'll bet you'll find a 99-00 for cheap. You just have to be fast because they usually go the same day.

 

Well thanx alot guys, the guy is supposed to come over tomorrow, so if i can get him down more i might get it... But so the 5000 one is out of the question right?

 

my car must have super duper sleeper status .. 97 ek hatch with a JDM b18 [direct plug and play/ untuned]..i ran 13.73 in the 1/4 w/ only an exhaust full interior and steelies w/ street tires and the paint pealin plus hub caps..
