Default Just refilled my prescriptions

The co-pays came to $105.00, if I had to pay actual price the bill would be1017.66. That total does not include the medications I get without co-pays my insulin and testing supplies and syringes for diabetes control.

ProGraf - Anti-rejection drug: $433.67
Cozaar - Blood Pressure: 26.54
Lipitor - Cholesterol Control: 105.87
Zetia - Cholesterol Control: 81.91
Isosorbid - Blood Pressure: 10.70
Plavix - Anti Clogging (Arterial): 124.70
Metoprolol - Blood Pressure: 8.60
Protonix - Acid control: 108.47
Ursodiol - Anti Clogging (bile ducts): 117.20

Glad my wife has good insurance, if I was on social security it would be 20% of each one including the stuff for diabetes.

thats aweful, when I worked in the pharmacy there was a 12 year old girl with twice as many prescriptions (she had fetal alcohol syndrome) and god knows what else. Your copays dont seem all that bad....Im looking forward to the health coverage from the Navy. FREE.

I wonder how many of those medications are needed because of a side effect of one of the other medications. I've heard of people needing only 1 medication but the side effects of it caused them to need 3 more to counter those side effects and on and on. Since you're in Michigan you should just cross the border and get your drugs from :canada:and save a lot of money.

No I can't go over to Canada, my insurance won't pay for them, that's why I pay $105.00 instead of $1017.66. Because of the ProGraf my cholesterol skyrocketed from the 180's before my transplant to 455 before I started taking the Lipitor and Zetia. That may have caused my 90% blockage that caused me to have to have a quadruple bypass. My blood pressure was up before the liver transplant. I have to take the Protonix because I am taking Plavix and an aspirin a day to prevent another blockage, the aspirin may cause a gastro-intestinal bleed.

Oh look boardtracker is watching us in here again...

Damn that is crazy! I only have to pay 10$ for mine. Which sucks so i'm not even getting them refilled. I know you have reasons behind all yours. Which was previously stated. Half of them are probably to offset side effects from other ones....

i worked for a dr s office for a brief time and i saw what drugs cost. they r pennies per barrel. its really offensive what americans pay for medication. healthcare in general. no other industrialized nation pays what we pay and we subsidize other countries medications.
