yeah, i'm not sure on the accuracy of that figure, but it's up there. i think bryan singer "unofficially" admitted to it being just under $200MIL, but others have quoted the figure at much, much more.

anyway, i understand humans need entertainment, but couldn't that money have been used for something a little more useful? no wonder this world is going to the shitter.

I've heard that figure thrown around elsewhere, but I've also heard that that sum includes the cost of several aborted superman projects over the last decade. The studio has been trying to produce another superman movie for years, and has gone through directors, scripts, and casting calls galore. If it's true that the 260mil figure includes all these aborted attempts, that could lop a significant amount off the figure.

I'm going to see it, but I'm going in with low expectations.
