I know a lot of people feel nitrous is for fags, but hear me out. I am very happy with the way my car performs right now. I don't want to modify it anymore aside from returning the body to stock and repainting it. The nitrous kit will be the very last step in getting my cars performance capabilities exactly where I want it. I'm not really racing anymore since there are no tracks close to where I live so going all out and getting a turbo kit isn't really for me. Not only that but I don't exactly have the time to install/tune it or the money. With nitrous, the power is there if I ever feel like using it, it's affordable and it doesn't take much to make the motor work well with the kit. Some spark plugs, a new fuel pump, maybe a slight adjustment to my timing and I am set.
Anyway, a bit of humor. I plan on installing the kit myself. However, just for fun I called a local motorsport shop to see how much it would cost me to have them install it. They told me "It shouldn't take more than 8 hours. Probably about 5-6 hours. Our labor rate is $70/hr." I chuckled and than hung up. $350-$420 to install a kit that costs around $500. wtf?
