Default Digi cam question

Ok...so I took the exact same picture at these specs

-2/3rds exposure
Auto ISO
2592x1944

The only difference is I changed from Superfine to Normal. All the specs in the properties are the EXACT same, just the size is different.

Would I only see the difference if I blow up the picture in print form? One is 1.7MB the other is 366 KB.

I'm I would have figured dropping from Superfine to Normal would change the bit depth or dpi...

yes.

superfine is uncompressed, you'll notice a difference when enlarging the pic.

so is there no point in shooting superfine?

I am going on a trip up Highway 1 and might want some of the pictures enlarged...would it being on fine make the size limited?
