Default Prejudice against Contractors

So i work for the largest law firms in philly. Tonight they are having a company party at an aquarium where there is going to be free food and drinks and the whole aquarium has been rented out to us.

I was like hey....this'll be a great time to hang out with my neice and nephew and i'll take my brother in law with me. Well i ask my manager could i possibly get some tickets. She told me that it's for employees only.

My gripe is this. I do the same amount of work as the other people in my dept. and then some. The only difference between me and them is i'm not on there payroll. I think it just sucks that just because im not a employee of Wolf, Block i'm excluded from everything. I guess it's only like that hear because other contracts i was on the company made me feel like i was actually an employee there. I went to there functions without even having to ask i was invited.

Yea the one company i worked at, they gave me a ticket and asked me if i was bringing some guests. So i bought a good friend of mine. I just hate when companies sorta make you feel unwanted.

maybe its a tax write off, so employees only. stinks, but law firms love their loop holes.
