Too grey on the subject.
I like the shot but it lacks tonality.

Well it is more than just lightening it up.

If you look in your histogram I am sure you will see that there is basically a grey level and a black level but not really much in between to allow for gradient changes in shading. This causes the flat grey look that I see on your face in the image.

Colour would not have the same effect on this image though.
