Actually monster cables are good if used properly. The problem is that the cables are so heavy that people don't anchor them properly to the equipment and they can actually cause internal failures of equipment. A electronics shop I used to work in our tech used to have to resolder connections all the time from them breaking off.

I used to use doubled up Monster cables on my speakers. (2 pair for one speaker) Went to Straightwire much better definition out of them. The Monster cable sounded muddy after using the Straightwires.

monstercables make some pretty damn good noodles. especially their hdmi cable.
