http://www.brewersartsupply.com/login.php local place where I get supplies

It's really pretty easy to get started. You can start with some canned malts. Then work your way to dry malts, then grains/hopps. The basic process is
-mix malt with one gallon water
-simmer for 45min-1hour
-stir into 4 gallons water and let cool
-add yeast
-wait a week for fermenting to stop
-heat 1 cup water mix in 1 cup corn sugar
-mix with brew
-bottle immediatly
-wait one more week
-drink

The way we did it, it would take a few weeks to ferment and stuff. I think my dad is going to do it soon.

We used a long time ago (friends that I lived in commune with), about a 1000 gallons a year.

Possibly the best beer I have ever had was home brewed by a good friend of mine. He even printed up his own labels for the bottles, "Broomhandle Mauser Brew."

Yeah, we made our own labels too, Treefrog beer, we had a picture of a frog pissing on a tree.
