Default ram upgrade question

I have dell dim 4400 computer with 1.6 processor and 126mb ram. I want to upgrade to 512, is it worth doing it on 1.6 processor also what ram do I get? thanks.

get the least expensive brand you can find
probably corsair, mushkin, geil, ocz

no he's being serious. I reccomend G.SKILL it's very cheap very good ram.

128mb is hardly anything. You will benefit from more. You get the same kinda ram that is already on the computer, DDR pc2700.

Defiantly upgrade. Minimum a pc should have is 512mb now.

install the max your mainboard can handle and upgrade ur cpu to the latest.

I did some research and they say I should use PC2100 but PC3400 is one next up I found.
