Default Well, the time has come. . .

I have an appointment to put the dog to sleep. He has cancer and his back legs are no longer working. So tomorrow morning, I will take him in and have the procedure done. I feel a horrible pit in my stomach, but at the same time i know he's had a good life.

Sorry to hear that. My dog is only 8 years old but I sometimes wonder when his day will come as he's been having some bad hip problems. I try not to think about it but I can't always help it.

Well, My mom just called and said she has an appt for him this evening at 5:30. I'll head home and pick him up and go that way.
I feel better about it, i did cry some yesterday, but i've been thinking. I'm mentally prepared for it. He has had a good long life. 14 years of all the food, treats, and pigs ears you can imagine. He had his own lazy-boy recliner for 10 years. He had his own room at the last house. Always had a radio on in the garage so he wouldn't be bored.

Awww thats so sad, its definately the right thing to do, I plan on having my dog creamated when he goes, so that way he can be buried with me.Best companion ever, doesnt talk back, doesnt lie, doesnt cheat, just always there to love and protect. AT least your dog wont be in pain and youll be there with him until the end. You should feel comfort in knowing you were a good owner
