 I actually bought it from my dad when he got a company car. My grandparents have offered numerous times to help me buy a new car because they think it's dangerous to drive around in a car with 221k miles. But I have too much pride to let them give me anything besides the very occaisonal $100 check for food. Can you honestly say you've earned your car? If so, great, I believe all kids should be able to. I feel that society is going to shit right now because too many kids are given too much that they haven't earned and it breeds laziness.

For the record, I've only had one wheel fall off.

I dont see why you feel the need to make it a big secret that your parents bought you a car. Its not that big a deal, lots of parents are doing that now a days. Now what IS bull shit, is when a cock suck like Bah whos driving around in his parents money, thinks he can look down on me for driving a car that I bought with my own money, who are you to say someones car sucks just because its not "new" like yours. Im willing to bet that if there were a poll, that most of the people on this board who bought there own cars, have a history of better driving, and maitenence, because we have some invested interest. So if mommy and daddy bought car, just say so, hell you should be BRAGING about it, show some damn apreciation for your parents generosity

Having purchased your own car may be an indication of better ownership, but clearly it's no litmus test for proper grammar.

Man, this thread has caused so much drama. Who the fuck cares?? Honestly. If your issue is that kids whos parents help them get a car act smug about it and "look down" on others, then fine, I think thats annoying too. That is not how I act at all. For the record my mommy and daddy didn't buy my car for me. Thats not me saying that I paid for it myself, and I will readily admit that I didn't fully. I don't act like a spoiled rich kid, and I don't think I'm better than anyone else, and whatever I drive doesn't affect my attitude toward others. If I can reasonably get a nice used car, I don't see any reason I shouldn't and if you're just finding a reason to hate, go right ahead. The only purpose of this thread was to see peoples opinions/experiences with an s2000 or a 350z given my geographical isituation. If you have nothing constructive to say then politely fuck off. Thank you.

I bought my car with $1300 my dad gave me for getting a good score on my SATs and the other $2000 I had in pocket from working. And I plan on paying $4000 cash for another bike once I get my tuition reimbursment, although still have 2 grand in student loans.
