I've been looking for a Civic hatchback for a few weeks now and have been having a hard time finding them. I want a hatch because I like the way they look, and I want to put in a new engine or do some major mods. I'm still in my speed stages, being only 19.
But, I've always loved the looks of Jeep Wranglers. I found a 1991 Jeep Wrangler for only $2895. It looks nice, 5 speed, hardtop, doesn't say how many miles though. If I got a Jeep I'd probably raise it up a bit and put on bigger tires. I've been fasinated with the stuff John has been doing and the crawling and stuff. I don't think I'd want to get into that stage of crawling but do a little off roading.

What are your guys' inputs on this? What would you do?

only dicks drive jeeps. Look for a '85 or older toyota, pay $600, off-road until the cows come home.

More things to think about. Just how useless is a jeep? Bad milage, shit for cargo space, less-than-reliable (more reliable than other chryslers its age only by virtue of its spartan amenities). Everyone assumes that a jeep roxors the soxors off road, which it does, but the toyota does just as well while also being a functional, useful, and reliable truck.
