I liked it better than the original, actually. My only complaint with the original was the lack of decent special effects and kind of crappy cinematography, which this version fixed.
Oh, and for Omni, I believe they originally made like up to Omen 4 or something (they had to if they were going to tell the entire story of the anti-christ. You didn't think he'd take over the world as a kid, did you?)
