I have a chance to get a Mac power book G4 laptop for $500, Its this one:

What do you think of it? Is is worth $500?

If you can get that for $500, buy it. It's worth about double.

Go for it. If you're getting a 256MB/60GB, I would upgrade RAM to 512MB if not 768MB.

The previous owner uprgraded to 512MB, and it is the 60GB one.

I'm actually pretty stoked for you. That's a great price. You're getting so hooked up. Later you can max it, but for now, "just drive the car". If you need any help setting things up, PM me. Even though you're getting it from someone else, you might wanna zero things out and start from scratch to make it yours.

What do you mean by max it? I was thinking of upgrading to 1GB memory. I will probably want to start from scratch.

One thing that will bug me is 1 small dead pixel but it is hardly noticable.

Right. Max meaning maxing out the ram to a gig. If you're lucky, the pixel isn't dead. Sometimes you can massage the spot very slowly and it comes back to life.
