Default CNN Video: "Gas siphons $720 a month from family's budget"

CNN's Dan Lothian looks at an Iowa family whose lives have been sharply affected by gas prices.
there's this CNN video article about how this family has been forced to stop driving their 12 mile-per-gallon truck 70 miles a day to work.

oh, and they were looking forward to the money they would save after paying off their daughter's car...

and the best part, it's a 4 person family (the daughter, and a young son) with 3 cars and a truck.

so i can't help but laugh my ass off. "sharply affected" in this case means that a luxury for them and their daughter has been comprised. :lmao: :lmfao:

man, can you get more moronic and hypocritical? i don't think so.

That's hilarious. What a waste of resources.

you just gotta love the typical alarmist point of view spewing forth from CNN..

everyone be afraid! just look at this modest family of 4, who made the wise decision to buy a gas-guzzling 12mpg truck, and 3 other cars on top of that -- one for their very own daughter who probably doesn't even need it.

just look at how they suffer by having to drive one of their more economical automobiles over a 70 mile commute, when they were previously able to burn nearly 6 gallons of gas over that very same commute. heed the warning! this could happen to you too! :wtc:

Communist News Network.

I had a 60 mile a day commute for 6 months and gas prices barely affected me because I was averaging 26MPG with 30% city driving.

I wonder if the daughter bites tenderly.

Yea, forget that family. What a bunch of whiners. Back in 2000 I was spending $300-400/month on gas for my 4Runner. I'd hate to know what that bill would be like now. Glad I got rid of that moneypit.
