Are there any apple stalkers on here that have a firm date on the next gen iPod? My third gen is starting to show its age and I want to replace it. I would get a video but don't want to if a new one is coming out relatively soon. By relatively soon lets say a 3-6 month range.

I love the third gen...thats the one that I have...I prefer the touch sensitive buttons over the click ones

 

I'd have to agree. I like the 3rd gen touchwheel/lit buttons.

 

just remember, whatever you decide to get, apple will abandon it 3 weeks later.

 

it got pushed back and now i think it's either Q4 this year, or early next year.

there is a new U2 version out now though.

 

True story, exactly what happened when I bought mine.

About 2 years but I abuse it. It is all scratched up, the battery has seen better days, it will randomly turn off and sometimes the sound goes in and out. I have definitely gotten my use out of it, but it will need to be replaced soon.

I may as well just wait unless it just completely dies.
