Default Bondo Help

Hey guys

Lately I have been taking on a new project. I bought some bondo to even out some messed up parts on my rear valance. Which has came out great
all smooth, sanded and ready to paint.
Now my friends have seen this and do like the work and are willing to take the chance with me fixing their bumpers and or quarter panels.

So I bondo'd my friends quarter panel. I need to sand it down but not sure what grit sand paper to use when sanding it down. I think I used like a 300 grit paper for my valance ( ABS plastic ) but since this is on sheet metal what is recommended.

This is good stuff cause 98CoupeV6 wants some work done done on his car too......lol

If the bondo is caked on I usually go 80, 200, 400... depends on how you lay on the bondo. Normally I finish off with 400 then primer.

I've been thinking about bondoing my HondaRust TM on the rear quarters. If I grind it down or just chop it off, can I "reconstruct" the corner of the quarter panel (about one by three inches) in bondo?

You can go the ghetto way.

Cut the rust out with a dremel. JB weld some new sheet metal from the inside. Add bondo to fill in the area over the sheet metal.

Super ghetto but at least you wont have rust showing up under the bondo over time.

you obviously aren't familiar with my car. Ghetto is the name of the game :deek:

Any bondo how-to's out there? Google hasn't been particularly fruitful thus far.
