any good? myt cousin wants to get one. he is looking at the 2001-2003 models any experience with these cars?

my cousin almost got one, we took a few on some test drives. they are nice cars, handle well and they have decent pickup once the turbo spools. All the salesmen told me that because the turbo is small you can use regular no problem. I found that kind of intresting. Overall they are a nice car, not my style but they are nice.

my friend has one, they crashed it the first week they had it and it took half a year to be repaired because we don't have a volvo dealership around here. other than that, it's a cool car, it's pretty quick, looks good, and safe.

it's a volvo you can't go wrong..
repairs are high as hell so be prepared....

How's his credit rating? The 01-03 is reasonably decent, but IMO it's far from a driver's car. I'd take a long look at the new one, not only for the more modern chassis and better drivetrain, but for the protection of a warranty. h:
