Yes in Europe it costs alot to get your license. In france I know it was about $5k US.

My friend grew up in germany, and i know this is case there, you also cant get your lincence till your 18
Imagine if they did that here.......maybe WE could get an unlimited speed highway too

If only people took driving as serriously here we probably would. I forgot what the penalty was for slowing down or stoping on the Autobahn. But it was serious.

I like the way the Germans give out tickets too. They can tell how much money you have and make then issue the ticket that way. So poor people will get a lesser ticket than a rich guy doing the same thing.

I know in the UK if you do your driver training on an automatic you have to go back again to get licensed for manual. Most folks start off on manual though.

I wonder how long it will take american drivers to become as good of drivers and the majority of Europe's. Most people here don't even know how to act with a round-about. They don't do the general rule 'stay in the right hand lane unless you're passing and then you do it as quick as possible'
