Xavier transferred his mind into the guy without the higher brain functions. :dunno:

He didn't get to finish what he was saying about the ethical and moral aspects of using a persons body in that position, because of Storms little tantrum thingy.
It doesn't tell much more than you'd have already gathered, but I wanna see what other people put and this might encourage them.

Ok fine. I very very very strongly recommend not reading this unless you have already seen the movie. Don't say I didn't warn you.

*edit* Well it would appear bluetwo beat me to the punch but here's a more detailed version. Oh and don't click his neither if you don't want to ruin the surprise! :eek3:
In the scene where Professor X is giving the lecture, he shows a video where this doctor he knows, Moira MacTaggart, is watching over some dude who has a fully functioning body and nervous system, but no consciousness. He asks the class what they think would happen if a consciousness were to be transferred into his body. Then in the scene at Jean Grey's house, Phoenix is trying to evaporate Xavier or whatever that trick she does is, and he's resisting her which is why he holds on so long. There's that instant where everything slows down, Xavier flashes a smile (you can barely see it) and then poof he disappears. In the scene at the end after the credits when you see the dude from the video, he wakes up and says "hello Moira" with Professor X's voice.

So the theory goes, Xavier knew going into it that Jean/Phoenix is the most powerful mutant on the planet and she could probably eff him up pretty good, and he wouldn't go into a situation like that without some sort of escape plan. Plus he already knew about the dude Moira was watching over, so when he realized he couldn't stand up to Phoenix's powers, he hopped his consciousness over to that other dude's body. Once Xavier's consciousness left his own body, he couldn't resist Jean's powers any more and he just goes poof.

ok but Nurse Moira calls him back, "Charles?!?!" so did Jean Grey also transfer to the nurse or was the patient named Charles or did Prof X prepare the nurse for his "transfer?"

Moira at the very least knew Xavier. In the comics she was his fiance at one point. So when the dude who had been in the coma talks with Xavier's voice, she recognizes him.
I loved the movie. Yeah, it was pretty rushed, but honestly if they didn't find a way to "end" it, the series would just keep going on and on and on, etc.

The spoiler was good, but I also like the Mangeto/Chess scene towards the end. Pretty cool.

Yeah.........
I have a feeling that some of the more powerful mutants might regain thier powers in time, perhaps even more so with some of the older ones. And while Jean did survive once before, I think it's more likely that she's gone for good this time because she really did want to die this time.

Some of the things that I didn't like was that Nightcrawler didn't even make an appearance in this one, Angel had a tiny part, Cyclops died without ever really even doing much throughout the whole series and that Rouge lost her gift...

But of course it's a little early to speculate on what might happen or who might have a major role in the next movie. I did like Kitty Prydes part in this one and the Beast was really good, but I have to admit I had no idea it was Kelsey Grammer
Kelsey Grammar did good. you can almost sense "Frasier" in his speech but feel he was a different character. gotta love the love/hate between Logan & McCoy
