no idea. let me play a few more dozen times before i start paying attention to that crap. h:

it was a group tournament thing anyway. each person in the group would tee off, then you go off the best shot, everyone hits from there, go off the best from that, repeat.. so :dunno:

i won a sand wedge at the end of the night though. (unrelated to how i played :hsugh

 

That tournament format is called a scramble. Tournaments are pretty cool, lots of different formats. The one we played was called Best Ball, where each person plays their own ball for the entire hole, and then the best score from the group is taken...but it was only 2 man teams instead of 4. It was a pretty big tournament for all of Northern CA, and there were about 100 teams. We tied for 2nd and I won a $400 driver. My boss won like $600 cause he's a pro. h:

nope, we really lucked out. a handful of times we got a little drizzle, but pretty much the entire time not a drop fell. the only thing that got annoying was that my sneakers were soaked (don't own golf shoes yet).

it was also nice because the course was almost entirely empty. it was just us out there, and because of how teams were spaced, most of the time we never saw anyone. we were never waiting, and we were never holding anyone back. back at the club house though, the other teams were complaining about how they were sometimes held up, so somehow we got a nice buffer.

 

Nice. A pair of waterproof golf shoes would help that out a lot...your feet would be dry. Playing in a decent amount of rain is pretty miserable...i've done it many times. h:
