I mean you figure it cost 100+ per head for reception (unless its garbage place)

A wedding isn't like a bday or xmas...the gifts get bigger. Definitely find out if they've registered somewhere for gifts, and pick out something that they want and need.

I dunno, normally I wouldn't think twice but some of my friends are in the wedding party and I know they aren't giving that much. Trying to figure out of they are cheap or I am being over zealous.

People who are in the wedding usually don't give as much...unless their tuxes/dresses get paid for by the bride/groom. If they pay for their own tuxes/dresses, the gift is smaller.

I'd say $75-100 would be cool. I'm going to be going to a wedding for a very close college friend soon and I'm going to give him $100 cash. thats a fair amount, you won't look like a cheap bastard at all if thats what your worried about.
