Okay, so my parents were going to front me five thousand dollars to repair my MR2. Last week my dad got on my case about selling the MR2 instead of repairing it. He recommended I sell the 2 and take the five thousand for something else.

Do I sell the MR2 and keep the five thousand, drive the Jeep around (automatic ) -OR- sell, buy something else in the meantime -OR- fix the MR2?

Holy shit, your parents are giving you $5k to fix your own mistake? In HS when I bent a rim I couldn't go anywhere until I accumulated enough money to buy a new one h: Anyway, fix it yourself. It might be fun and maybe you'll learn something.

sell the mr2. work a little to bank some cash. Then get something a little more pratical
