Default Senators Propose Internet Freedom Preservation Act

ISPs would not be "allowed to "block, interfere with, discriminate against, impair or degrade" access to content or to prevent users from attaching devices of their choosing to the network. they would also be barred from making special deals with content providers to ensure speedier delivery or improved quality of service"

That sounds like a VERY GOOD thing.

what about freedom from the RIAA from tracing our IP's and demanding the company to tell them who we are?

http://www.senate.gov/

There's a contact menu on the front page... look up your state and it will direct you to contact info and their web page(s).

Example: http://www.senate.gov/general/contac...m.cfm?State=CA

No sweat.

Every once in a while, it helps to remind them that they work for us... not the lobbyists.

I don't see a problem with having access to the information. but if you were to use the information in an illegal manner, determined by the gov, then you should be held responsible for your actions.

i.e - illegal downloading of music, movies, etc.
