Summer internship woes. Need some advice
So I bust my ass in november to secure a summer internship position at an engineering company. I go for the interview, get the position, and tell him I would like to start May 8th. Everything is fine an dandy. So a week before May 8th I give him a call to make sure everything is ok and we are on for the 8th. He said he will try to get me in then. And that is the last time I have spoken to him. It is now May 18th and I still havent started yet. I understand he is busy but this is getting a little rediculous. I have callled and left polite messaged with no calls in return. This is my first "real" job, and I dont know if im doing something wrong or what. Can any of you guys that have been in the working field for some time give me some advice?

You should probably start looking for another one. If you've done your follow up and they still haven't gotten back to you, think about what that says about their organization and how much you would actually learn there.
Never waste time waiting. Keep hustling to get yours.

Keep calling or physically go to the firm itself.
Engineers get busy (Atleast my boss does) And depending on how reputable they are, they barely have time to do anything else that doesn't relate to job they are working on. However, in your condition I'd be out looking for another job, because you have left tons of messages and its been over a week without reply. My boss is always busy but she always returns calls within the day.
